- Day 31 Hostages Update: Family of Eight-Year-Old Irish-Israeli Calls on Ireland to Bring

New intelligence information has emerged that eight-year-old Irish-Israeli Emily Hand, who was previously believed to have been murdered by Hamas terrorists on October 7, was likely taken hostage into Gaza. Emily’s family is now appealing to the Irish government to help bring the little girl home. AJC continues to urge the swift and safe release of all 240 hostages.
- Palestinian Supporters and Anti-Israel Protesters Call for Ceasefire, Spread
Antisemitic Threats
This weekend at a rally in Washington, D.C., Palestinian supporters and anti-Israel protesters rallied in support of a ceasefire while some participants called for the elimination of Israel, proudly waved antisemitic signs, like this one equating the Star of David with a Nazi swastika, and promoted violence against Jews, with thousands chanting “Intifada, Intifada.” The First and Second Intifadas resulted in the deaths of over 1,300 Israelis. In London, 30,000 protesters marched at a pro-Palestinian rally, 29 of whom were arrested for offenses including inciting racial hatred and breaching the Terrorism Act.

Since Hamas’ terror attack on October 7, Jewish and pro-Israel students across the U.S. are experiencing a frightening increase in antisemitism, including threats to their physical safety. - AJC Leadership Delegation In Israel Meets with President Herzog
An AJC Leadership Delegation led by AJC CEO Ted Deutch and AJC President Michael Tichnor traveled to Israel to show solidarity and send a message of unity from the Jewish Diaspora. Today, the Delegation met with Israeli President Isaac Herzog. During their trip, they will also be meeting with representatives of the hostages and survivors’ families from the October 7 Massacre, the aid and rescue organizations, and Members of Knesset.

Israel Announce Aid to Gaza
In Gaza, the IDF reported taking control of at least one Hamas military compound and taking out several of the terror group’s commanders, including Jamal Mussa, the terrorist responsible for Hamas’ special security operations and who carried out an attack against IDF troops in 1993. This morning, Sgt. Elisheva Rose Ida Lubin, an Israeli-American Border Police officer, was stabbed to death by terrorists in Jerusalem’s Old City, and another officer was wounded. Over the weekend, Hezbollah, Iran-backed terrorists in Lebanon, unleashed a missile attack on Israelis in the north. Also this weekend, the IDF said it located Hamas rocket launchers near a swimming pool, a playground, and other civilian areas in Gaza. This morning, Israel and Jordan announced that they coordinated a mission by the Jordanian Air Force to drop medical aid and food to a field hospital in Gaza.
