Here are American Jewish Committee’s top stories and resources of the day to help you stay informed, share the facts, and rally your networks to take action in support of Israel and against Hamas’ war crimes.

- Day 27 Hostages Update: Holocaust Survivors Show Solidarity with Hostages Through Art
Last night, more than 200 Holocaust survivors gathered at the Museum of Jewish Heritage in downtown Manhattan to raise awareness of the more than 240 hostages being held in Gaza by Hamas. In this powerful photo project, each survivor posed for a portrait, holding a poster of one of the captives.
- Anti-Israel UPenn Student Glorifies and Celebrates Hamas’ Atrocities
Yesterday, a student leader of the UPenn Against the Occupation of Students for Justice in Palestine gave a speech in which they praised Hamas’ rape, murder, and kidnapping of Israelis on October 7. When terrorism is not clearly condemned, and antisemitism is not properly addressed, universities develop a culture that allows students to think it's acceptable to cheer for these types of atrocities.
- Bolivia, Chile, Colombia Downgrade Diplomatic Relations With Israel
Earlier this week, the Bolivian government made the shameful decision to sever all diplomatic ties with Israel. This decision comes after Chile and Colombia recalled their ambassadors to Israel. AJC is working with our Jewish community partners in Ibero-America to ensure that all governments in the region act with moral clarity and support Israel during its time of crisis.
- Jewish Latino Congressional Caucus Responds: A bipartisan group of members from the Latino Jewish Congressional Caucus, which AJC recently helped relaunch, strongly condemned Bolivia, Chile, and Colombia’s actions downgrading diplomatic relations with Israel.
- What AJC Is Saying: “Now more than ever, strong trilateral ties between the U.S., Israel, and Ibero-American countries are needed to counter Hamas terror, repel Iran’s dangerous influence, and ensure the future prosperity of Israelis, Palestinians, and Ibero-American Jewish communities.”
- Jews in Danger in Turkey, Austria, Germany
Outside a shop in Istanbul last week, a sign read “Jews not allowed” in English and Turkish. This comes on the heels of Turkish President Erdogan’s defense of Hamas’ October 7 terrorist attack, when he called Hamas “a liberation group.” Similar acts of pure and unadulterated antisemitism were seen this week in Austria, where the Jewish section of Vienna’s central cemetery was set on fire, and the walls were spray painted with swastikas. In Germany, leaders have taken action by banning all activity by and in support of Hamas, including the German branch of the Samidoun network, which celebrated and glorified the October 7 massacre.
- War Update: IDF Death Toll Now 333; Houthi Involvement; 61 Aid Trucks Cross Rafah
Overnight, the IDF reported killing dozens of Hamas operatives as they continued to progress into Gaza, moving towards destroying Hamas’ network of tunnels. The IDF now reports that the total number of Israeli soldiers killed in battle since the war broke out is 333. The IDF also successfully intercepted several projectiles launched from Yemen by the Iran-backed Houthis. Israel has strengthened its naval presence in the Red Sea area in response to these repeated attacks. Yesterday, 61 additional trucks of humanitarian aid crossed into Gaza via the Rafah crossing with Egypt. We welcome this crucial decision to help save the lives of Palestinian civilians caught in the crossfire.
